Sisterhood & Co. was founded by two best friends—sisters by choice—who’ve been inseparable for just under two decades. Of Puerto Rican descent and raised in New Jersey, we created this space to celebrate the powerful bonds of friendship and sisterhood in a world that often tries to divide us.
What started as a dream between two amigas has grown into something so much more: a retail brand, a podcast, and a platform rooted in women empowerment, unity, and love. Think of us as your modern-day Hallmark store—made just for besties. Meet the Founders
Mary Mar Rivera-Mandry
Hey, it's Mary Mar, one half of Sisterhood & Co. Growing up as the only girl with two brothers, this friendship and sisterhood became my safe space—the place where I felt seen, understood, and connected to everything feminine. It encouraged me to grow into the woman that I am today. At Sisterhood & Co., I bring that same spirit to our business.
Born in New Jersey and now based in Chicago, I fill my days with love, laughter, and lots of good food. I’ve built a life filled with love and creativity. Outside of Sisterhood, I’m a singer, wife, dog mommy to the sweetest boy, and a self-proclaimed foodie always on the hunt for the next great bite.
Jessenia Aurora Sanchez Toro
Hey there, I’m Jessenia, the other half of Sisterhood & Co. I was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, and raised in Rahway, New Jersey. I’ve called a few places home, including Chicago, where I once lived near bestie—but I now reside in Florida (yep, we’re long-distance besties again!). No matter where life takes me, my Boricua and Jersey roots keep me grounded, and family and friendship remain at the heart of who I am.
Outside of Sisterhood & Co., you’ll usually find me traveling, crafting, or binge-watching my favorite shows. Friendship has always been one of my anchors, and our 18-year bond is proof that this sisterhood can carry me through every season of life. We can live near by or miles a part and I know I have a sister ready to laugh with me, cry with me, whatever it may be. I’m so proud to help create a brand that celebrates positive, lasting female friendships every single day.
